Chelsea Chamberlain is an Assistant Professor of History at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Her research focuses on disability, special education, and institutionalization in the modern United States. In addition to publishing in the Journal of Social History and the Journal of the History of Childhood and Youth, she is a co-creator of the Institution Cemetery Project, which maps the nation's institution cemeteries and their preservation statuses. She received a MA in History from University of Montana and a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania
