Dr. Angela Adler
Research Analyst

​Dr. Angela Adler is a disabled leader, nonprofit executive, researcher, and public speaker. Dr. Adler feels most at home living, working, and socializing among people with disabilities. Dr. Adler was fortunate to be mentored by international disability rights leader Judy Heumann, and is active in disability justice organizing. Dr. Adler’s education focused on disability studies in various fields - a PhD in Sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln supported by the Health Policy Research Scholars program of the Robet Wood Johnson Foundation, a Masters in Anthropology and Social Change from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and a Bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh, with an emphasis on social and emotional factors in rehabilitation and disability. Dr. Adler is focused on epistemological justice centering disabled people’s accounts of themselves, mixed methods disability-inclusive research design, survey design, and research translation for policy impact.
