Michael Roszkowski

After completing a B.S. in Psychology at St. Joseph’s University (1973), Michael Roszkowski briefly worked as an Inland Marine Underwriter. Subsequently, he attended Temple University, earning a Master’s degree in School Psychology (1975), certification as a School Psychologist (1976), and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (1981). During his doctoral studies, Roszkowski also worked as an Evaluation Specialist at The Woodhaven Center, a residential facility for developmentally-disabled individuals managed by Temple University.

After receiving his doctorate, Roszkowski worked for the next 17 years at The American College, where he first served as a Research Psychologist and then as the Director of Marketing Research while concurrently being a member of the faculty, first as an Assistant Professor and then an Associate Professor (Psychology). After leaving The American College in 1999, he was employed for the nearly 17 years at La Salle University, first as the Director of Institutional Research and then as an Assistant Provost for Evaluation Services. He is now retired, but does consulting on a part-time basis.

Roszkowski had been on the Board of Editors for the Journal of Genetic Psychology (1984 to 2013) and serves on the Scientific Review Committee of the Delaware Valley Science Fairs. He is a past member of the Advisory Board for Behavioral & Experimental Economics Abstracts. In 2005, he was presented with the Distinguished Reviewer Award by Buros Institute of Mental Measurements.

During the course of his career Roszkowski conducted research and published on various aspects of measurement and assessment, including developmental disabilities, laterality, higher education, and risk tolerance.

Michael has been married to Maryann for 50 years. They are the parents of two sons and have two grandchildren. Michael also enjoys spending time with his two furry friends at an immense (26 acre) off-leash dog park.
